Traditional packaging is facing the "green tide"

in the new century, when people buy a wide range of goods, they will see safer and more kinds of packaging. The important thing is that the coats of these goods will no longer bring pollution to the environment. This is the "green packaging" that leads the packaging trend in the new century. "Green packaging" is the most talked about topic in the industry at the seminar "how Chinese packaging enterprises face the challenges and opportunities of joining WTO in 2001" held in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province a few days ago

the so-called "green packaging" refers to the packaging that is harmless to the ecological environment and human health, can be recycled and recycled, and can promote sustainable development. Developed countries in the world have determined that packaging should comply with the "4R + 1D" principle, that is, low consumption, development of new green materials, reuse, recycling and degradability

on the one hand, environmental protection has increasingly become the fundamental focus for countries to implement economic sustainable development strategies. As the basic industry of packaging material production, paper industry is one of the industries with heavy pollution. These traditional industries will continue to develop vigorously in the next 20 years. On the other hand, in order to protect their own markets, developed countries use their advanced technology and environmental advantages to implement "green signs" and create one of the largest non-tariff trade barriers, namely "green trade barriers". Some developed countries refuse to import products without green marks, and may not give preferential prices and tariffs. After entering the WTO, although China will have an all-round trade environment, if the packaging can not keep up, it will restrict the development of foreign trade exports. Because wood plastic composites are processed from all kinds of waste plastics and waste wood, it will be more difficult for our products to go to the international market

industry authorities believe that at present, China's packaging industry should strengthen the work in the following aspects when researching and developing "green packaging" of flat surface control blocks:

first, speed up technological innovation and develop new packaging materials, new processes and new products, which is the key to the development of "green packaging". The rapid development of modern science and technology and the increase of product technology pose a threat to the traditional packaging industry and related technological advances; At the same time, the change of people's consumption concept also poses further challenges to the use value of packaging products. For example, a large number of grains are packed in plastic woven bags. This kind of plastic packaging is mainly a kind of polymer material with high strength, low cost and corrosion resistance, but it is harmful to human body. The packaging of raw grains such as corn is acceptable, while the packaging of directly imported grains such as rice and flour is worrying. Moreover, the permeability of plastic woven bags is poor, grain is easy to deteriorate, and it is not suitable for long-term storage. In addition, it is disposable, which increases garbage and pollutes the environment. Therefore, we must develop more scientific new packaging materials to replace plastic woven bags

second, we should research and develop diversified "green packaging". When it comes to "green packaging", manufacturers tend to focus on paper materials that are easy to handle in terms of material orientation. However, from the perspective of the whole production process, paper packaging is not exactly "green packaging" in the full sense, because the paper industry has heavy environmental pollution. Although it can be recycled, the recycled paper made each time will reduce the quality level of paper. The packaging function of plastic, which is now widely used, cannot be replaced by other materials for the time being. As long as the non degradable technical difficulties are overcome, plastic can become the most important green material in the new century. Therefore, "green packaging" not only refers to paper, but also includes degradable plastic, aluminum packaging, and even edible packaging

third, we must establish and improve China's environmental labeling system in strict accordance with international practices, carry out certification from a high starting point, realize mutual certification among countries as soon as possible, and publicize and encourage enterprises to implement ISO9000 series and ISO14000 series standards to apply for certification automatically. Many developed countries have taken positive measures in environmental protection packaging, such as legislating that beer, soft drinks and mineral water must use recyclable containers, and formulating laws and regulations such as mandatory packaging and re-compliance regulations. In 1998, China promulgated the interim management measures for over source recycling of crawler cranes with packaging capital up to 2000 tons, which stipulates the disposal of waste, but it is far from enough to narrow the gap with international standards
